Don’t Drink Alcohol … Bet

[ English | Deutsch | Español | Français | Italiano ]

If you like to indulge in a drink every now and then, keep your cash at home if you intend to do your drinking in a brick and mortar betting house. I am serious. clean out your billfold, your wallet, and leave all cash, credit cards and checks at home. Take just the money you intend to use on beverages, tips and whatever pocket change you intend to lose and leave the remainder behind.

Contemptuous? Not at all. Practical more like. You may well discover a win after a drunken night out with your friends and be lucky enough to hit a marathon roll at a smokin’ craps table. Hold on to that adventure because it is as short-lived as it gets if you constantly drink and bet. The two simply don’t mix.

Leaving your money at home is a little dramatic, however defensive measures for drastic behavior is proportionate and required. If you gamble to win, then don’t consume alcohol and play. If you are able to manage to throw away your cash without a worry, then drink all the no cost booze your gut can hold, but do not take credit cards and cheques to throw into the combination of going after losses after your inebriated brain throws away everything!
